Regarding intangible cultural heritage, Da Nang currently has 28 nationally recognized elements, such as Central Vietnam’s Bai Choi folk art, Quang-style Tuong (classical opera), the Whale Worship Festival, and traditional craft villages like Thanh Ha Pottery Village, Kim Bong Carpentry Village, and Tra Que Vegetable Village. Notably, Bai Choi folk art has been inscribed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, while the Marble Mountains inscriptions (Ma Nhai) are recognized as a documentary heritage of the Asia-Pacific region.

Overall, Da Nang is home to approximately 595 cultural heritage elements, including 565 tangible and 30 intangible assets. This impressive number reflects the depth of the city’s cultural and historical values, providing a strong foundation for sustainable tourism development.

In addition, the city preserves 19 National Treasures, with the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture currently managing 12 of these valuable artifacts. Notable items include the My Son A10 altar, statues of Shiva and Ganesha, the Lai Nghi gold jewelry collection, and Dong Son bronze drums—each holding exceptional historical, artistic, and archaeological value.
